My Story
For as long as I can remember I have been able to find solace in nature. It is, and continues to be, the biggest inspiration in my life and my work as an artist. After graduating from Coastal Carolina University with a B.F.A in Art Studio, and an M.A in Art Education I taught art at Villa Maria Academy High School in Malvern, Pennsylvania. After five years, I left to pursue my career as a full time artist. Since then, I have devoted my time and energy to my art.
I have always been fascinated by the unique energy and spirit of birds. Over the years, they have become one of my favorite subjects to paint. Every type of bird has its own set of personality traits, which I try to bring out by painting them in portrait style, and by paying special attention to detail in the eyes. The fun part for me is watching their personalities come to life with each brush stroke.
